Volunteering

Usher duties consist of arriving about an hour before the show, checking the usher area for any obstacles, making sure the table has programs and if there are any additional pages to add, opening the doors to the auditorium when the director or stage manager says it can be opened, greeting attendees, giving them a program, accepting the ticket, taking the people to their seats, closing the doors when the show is about to start, turning off the lights, taking latecomers to their seats, and after the show-check the theatre for any debris. Will receive a ticket for the performance. If you are interested in joining the ushers, please email your name, phone number and email address to LGPushers@gmail.com.  In your email please indicate your preferred method of contact (email, text, phone).  By adding your information to this list you are in no way obligated to usher, but you may occasionally receive correspondence asking for your help. Ushering allows you to support LGP in a BIG way by giving just a little of your time.

Concession duties consist of setting up food and drinks, selling to ticket holders, counting money, distribution, putting everything away, and cleaning up the theater (emptying trash cans and sweeping out). At the Looking Glass Playhouse, our regular season consists of 3 musicals. All of these shows require an exquisite group of orchestra members to help us put these together. Whether it's big or small, every show has to have a set. We are always looking for helpers who can build, paint, decorate, or even sweep! If you are interested please contact tickets@lookingglassplayhouse.com.
